Thermal washer for fixing polycarbonate

A thermal washer helps fasten multiwall polycarbonate securely to a timber or metal frame while protecting the fixing point against moisture, cold air and mechanical stress.

How does it work?

spreads screw pressure over a wider area and reduces the risk of damaging the sheet;
the seal closes the drilled hole and helps prevent rainwater and cold air from entering the structure;
a correctly prepared fixing hole allows the polycarbonate to expand and contract as temperatures change;
the cap covers the screw head for a neat finish.

Where to use it?

Suitable for fixing polycarbonate to frames of greenhouses, canopies, patio roofs, gazebos, windbreaks, partitions and other lightweight structures.

Installation advice

Use a screw suitable for the frame material and expected load. Drill the polycarbonate hole slightly larger than the screw diameter to allow thermal movement. Do not overtighten: the washer should seal the joint without crushing or deforming the sheet.
