Alkyd oil primer for priming untreated wood surfaces before painting with oil or acrylic paint. Also suitable for painting previously oil-treated surfaces. Wooden exterior walls, window frames, railings, fences, etc.

Priming results in a more even absorption of the wood surface and a primer that evenly adheres to the finish color and gives the wood a longer life.

It is especially important to use primer on planed wood as the planed board is very smooth and does not stick well to the paint.

Consumption (per layer)

• 5-8 m2 / l - for sawn wooden surfaces (porous surfaces);
• 8-10 m2 / l - for logs and planed wooden surfaces (smooth surfaces).

Drying time depends on air humidity and temperature. Drying time at + 23 ° С and 50% relative humidity

• 12 hours - no dust sticks,
• 24 hours - the next coat can be applied.

The white AP base color can be used in white or tinted with a finish-like tone. Tone accuracy is incomplete. The tinted product shall not be modified or accepted.

Application

Sawn and planed wooden surfaces for outdoor use (overhanging exterior cladding boards, cladding, doors, window frames, fences, etc.). For new and previously painted exterior wood surfaces and heat-treated wood.

Expiration date

In tightly closed, original manufacturer's containers until the expiration date. The dates of manufacture and expiry date appear on the packaging. Open containers should be carefully closed. The product may not be stored for long periods in negligently closed or incomplete containers!

Immediately after cleaning, remove product residues from tools and rinse with Special Solvent.

PREPARATION

Clean the surface of dust and dirt. Remove any peeling paint from the surface with a scraper or a steel brush.

CONDITIONS FOR PAINTING

The surface should be clean and dry (relative humidity of wood below 20%), air temperature above + 5 ° С and relative humidity below 80% during application and drying. During painting, high temperatures are avoided.

PAINTING

Mix VillaProtekt thoroughly before applying. Apply by brush, in the direction of the wood fiber, or by dipping. New wood surfaces to be treated at an earlier stage of construction. Particular care should be taken when treating edges and ends of wood.

Attention!

Plants and surfaces that are not intended to be treated should be covered to prevent splashing of the product. It is recommended to repaint as soon as possible after priming, but not later than 6-10 months.The wood contains resin and other effluents, especially in the branches. They can cause yellowing or the release of resin through the paint layer due to temperature and humidity fluctuations.

CLEANING TOOLS

Immediately after finishing work, remove any product residues from the tools and wash them with Special Solvent, Special Solvent Spray, Tikkurila Pensselipesu or another mineral alcohol based solvent.
