This is not a sealing tape for the upper edge. It is a breathable tape specifically intended for the lower edge of polycarbonate sheets to prevent excess moisture from accumulating inside the cells.

Breather tape ensures proper ventilation of multiwall polycarbonate sheets. Adhesive strips are located along the edges, while the centre section acts as a filter, allowing airflow and condensation drainage while blocking dust and insects.
