Use a large enough container of clean water to moisten the oasis of fresh flowers. Place the slotted foam on the surface of the water, allowing it to absorb itself, like a sponge, in about 90 seconds. Avoid pressing or cutting the foam so that the water can be absorbed evenly and not create dry kernels that can cause the flowers to wilt quickly.
