The bulbs are spherical in shape and there are 10 small LEDs inside one ball. The light chain is charged with the included solar panel or alternatively the charging can be done from the USB connector.
Three different light outputs can be selected from the solar panel switch.
The solar panel is equipped with a ground spike.
