Cellular polycarbonate is a gray-brown color, 6 mm thickness, {WidthCm} width, 210 cm length, light transmission {LightTransmission}, and density {DensityGM2} material.
The thicker the polycarbonate, the better it retains heat. On the other hand, the thicker the material, the less it bends, so the classic thickness of polycarbonate for a greenhouse is 4, 6 or 8 mm.
Compared to 4mm polycarbonate, 6 mm thick polycarbonate allows the greenhouse season to start earlier and end later, as it provides better protection against unexpected weather and snow loads. However, its use may require additional expenses for the installation of a heating system in the colder months.
